Light trip to Kinmen & Gulangyu 4D3N-2 金門+鼓浪嶼 4天3夜輕旅行 (下)

踩點新西遊記所到的鼓浪嶼，從金門走小三通，快速又方便!

1ST DAY- Taiwan(Songshan)-(flight)-Kinmen / stay in Kinmen

2ND DAY- Kinmen-(ferry)-Xiamen-(taxi)-Ferry Pier(Xiamen) (for Taiwanese/Xiamen citizen or who work/study in Xiamen only)-Piano Pier(Gulangyu)

3RD DAY- Same way back to Kinmen

4TH DAY- Back to Taiwan(Songshan)

Notice:

1. For Mini-three-links from Kinmen to Xiamen, there is only one way from Shuitou Pier(Kinmen) to Wutong Wharf(Xiamen). There is no more to Dongdu Wharf(Xiamen).

2. Taiwanese who have Mainland Travel Permit have the right to take the boat from Ferry Pier(Xiamen) to Piano Pier(Gulangyu), same price as the citizen (8CYN/adult; Free/over 65 years old) and only take 5-10 mins.

3. Foreigners or people who are non-citizens, can only take the boat from Dongdu Wharf (Xiamen) to Sanqiutian Wharf(Gulangyu). It may cost 35CYN around and have the limit on the number of people.

Transportation in Kinmen:

It is suggested to rent a car. Check with your B&B or Homestay first. Most of them offer free shuttle to/from Airport or Pier and cheaper price for renting a car or scooter.

Transportation in Gulangyu:

Basically just walk!

Gulangyu Attractions (personal ranking)

No.1 Sunlight Rock (日光岩-日出/日落)

Best place for sunrise and sunset photo. This is the highest spot in Gulangyu. Thus, here is also the only place that you could have a full view of this lovely town.

The ticket would be 60 (yen), but if you go in early morning at 7am or late afternoon at 4:30pm around, then you may get discount and the price would be 30 (yen).

While walking down, you may also visit the temple.

No.2 Town street, just enjoy the historical buildings

Gulangyu is not only a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, but also famous for its architecture and for hosting China's only piano museum, giving it the nickname of "Piano Island" or "The Town of Pianos" or "The Island of Music". There are over 200 pianos on this island.

There is a package price, which is 120 (yen), for all the attractions that need to be paid.

(Including Sunlight Rock, Piano Museum and some parks.)

No. 3 Gallery Inn + Mango cake/following the Korean reality show-New Journey to the West 3rd season (畫廊旅館+良店芒果糕/新西遊記踩點)

Whom has watched this reality show, must know that KyuHyun(SJ) has found a nice hotel for them on Gulangyu. Thus, those fans who like the show, including me, are looking forward to stay in this hotel one day when traveling here.

With luck, I had reserved successfully and got the chance to stay in this beautiful place.

No. 4 Eat! Rice noddle roll and some other snacks. (沈家閩南腸粉及其他小吃)

No. 5 Walk around the coast

Basically, it is a attractive travelling space, where you can enjoy old fashion buildings, traditional foods, and beautiful views. However, be aware that do not come here while Chinese is also having vacations.

Additional spot: AmoyYatSenRoad (Xiamen)

After 5pm, not only Taiwanese or local people, all other foreigners can take the boat from Piano Pier(Gulangyu) to Ferry Pier(Xiamen).

Here, you can enjoy the night shopping while walking along this fancy road.

The only thing you should be aware is that remember to take the last boat from Ferry Pier(Xiamen) to Piano Pier(Gulangyu), or you may waste your lovely hotel on Gulangyu.
